My design philosophy

I believe floristry is an art form and a precise craft. The most beautiful work lives in the tension between the two. Every arrangement begins with a vision and ends with something entirely its own. No two designs are ever the same, and that's the part I love most — the ideation, the planning, the logistics, the art — the building something reflective of and alive for one specific person, one specific moment.

My style is romantic, wild, and organic at its core. I'm drawn to blooms that have something to say, branches reaching & thoughtful abundance. Unique lines, unexpected playfulness, movement, breath.

Every wedding and event gets the full weight of my attention, my eye, and my care from the very first conversation. My passion lies in creating bespoke designs, where each detail is curated & custom to you. I take on a limited number of projects each season to devote my full attention and energy to each one.

I’m Maggie, the owner & lead designer behind Figflorie. As a child, a love of both nature & art swelled in me. I have always been enchanted by, and a collector of, beautiful things and beautiful experiences in equal measure. During business school, I discovered there was a career path that perfectly married these two passions. I never looked back.

What started as a part-time position in a flower shop became years of leading floral design for weddings and events across Indiana, building a body of work I'm deeply proud of.

When I'm not working with flowers, you'll find me somewhere outside — I’m happiest in the outdoors or wandering a charming little town. I have a deep love for nature and movement, and a serious weakness for a great antique store. Good music is always on. And I cherish making sweet memories with the people I love.
